PC Print a chart image

On MetaTrader4 (MT4) / MetaTrader5 (MT5), you can save and print chart images. Check the chart image you wish to print in the preview screen and adjust the settings to print it. You can print in both black/white and color. If you wish to print out your image in color, you'll need to adjust the settings on MT4/MT5 beforehand.

Here we will look at how to print a chart image on MT4/MT5.
Switch between MT4/MT5 tabs to check the steps for each.
Step 1
The color setting is required to print a chart image in color. Click "Tools" in the menu and select "Options". (Shortcut keys: "Ctrl"+"O"）
Step 2
Check the "Color print" box in the "Charts" tab and click "OK".
Step 3
Click "File" in the menu and select "Print Preview" or "Print". If you choose "Print", the printer settings of your PC will open without a preview.
Step 4
If you choose "Print Preview", click "Print" after checking the chart image in the preview screen. To close the preview and return to the chart screen, click "Close".
To print a chart image in black/white
Charts will be printed in black/white if the color setting is not made.
Step 1
The color setting is required to print a chart image in color. Click "Tools" in the menu and select "Options". (Shortcut keys : "Ctrl"+"O")
Step 2
Check the "Chart color print" box in the "Charts" tab and click "OK".
Step 3
Click "File" in the menu and select "Print Preview" or "Print". If you choose "Print", the printer settings of your PC will open without a preview.
Step 4
Click "Print" after checking the chart image in the preview screen. If the printer settings screen appears, configure the settings and print the chart. To close the preview and return to the chart screen, click "Close".
To print a chart image in black/white
Charts will be printed in black/white if the color setting is not made.
