On MetaTrader4 (MT4) / MetaTrader5 (MT5), you can check your positions and pending orders in the "Trade" tab of the Terminal/Toolbox.

Here we will look at how to check them on MT4/MT5.

Switch between MT4/MT5 tabs to check the steps for each.

Click the "Trade" tab in the Terminal. You can check your positions.

Number	Item name	Descriptions
1	Order	Order number.
2	Time	Entry time. For pending orders, it indicates the time they were placed.
3	Type	Position type: sell or buy.
4	Size	Trade volume of the position in lots.
5	Symbol	Symbol.
6	Price	Entry price.
7	S/L	Stop-loss (S/L) level.
8	T/P	Take-profit (T/P) level.
9	Price	Current price.
10	Commission	Commission.
11	Swap	Swap.
12	Profit	Profit/loss in the base currency of the account.

To show more items in the "Trade" tab, right-click in the Terminal and choose the items you wish to add.

1	Taxes	Taxes charged when performing trade operations.
2	Comments	Comments that you assign when entering the position.

1	Symbol	Symbol name.
2	Ticket	Ticket number.
3	Time	Entry time. For pending orders, it indicates the time they were placed.
4	Type	Position type: sell or buy.
5	Volume	Trade volume of the position in lots. Related article: Change units for trade volume and P/L
6	Price	Entry price. For pending orders, limit/stop prices will be displayed.
7	S/L	Stop-loss (S/L) level.
8	T/P	Take-profit (T/P) level.Take-profit (T/P) level.
9	Price	Current price.
10	Profit	Profit/loss in the base currency of the account. For pending orders, it will be shown as "placed" as no P/L is made. Related article: Show P/L in points

To show more items in the "Trade" tab, right-click in the Toolbox and hover the pointer over "Columns" to choose the items you wish to add.

1	ID	Order ID assigned by the external entity such as the exchange.
2	Market Value	Current price multiplied by trade volume.
3	Swap	Swap that has been charged.
4	Change %	Price change from the entry price to the current price.
5	Magic Number	Order number by Expert Advisor (EA).
6	Comment	Assigned comment.
